More blog candy
Fiona J has some gorjuss blog candy on offer. Head on over and take a look-there's a clue in this somewhere-have you guessed yet? You've got until midnight on the 14th May by the way!
'If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your house which you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful'
Central to my life are my cats Tom and Basil and house rabbits Jacob and Humphrey. I also play a large part in the lives of two other 'sort of stray' cats-Ernie and Bobbi.
I enjoy crafting. I particularly love rubber stamps and cardmaking, and I also do scrapbooking and other crafty things that take my fancy! I can't do as much as I'd like due to my poor health but it's nice to have a hobby nonetheless and to be part of the crafting community! My main love remains animals and all creatures and I do all I can to ensure the lives of those who share this world with us are free from fear, pain and misery. I have been a vegetarian for many years and ensure that I do not buy any toiletries, household items etc that have been involved with animal testing or slaughtered animal ingredients.
It may seem a little strange to begin with an end, the end of Summer but it's what we're all talking about as we search through piles of clothes to find a jumper, try to remember how to turn on the central heating and have a refresher course in how dark nights can be!
Sometimes it's nice (if a little sad) to remember those all too few warm days when butterflies danced amongst the flowers and gorged themselves on nectar. The days when puss cats lounged lazily and worshipped the sun in a way no other creature seems to! The warm, long days when bunnies raced and binkied around, leaping in several directions at once in their joy. When washing dries and smells divine and bare arms and feet are de rigour!
Looking ahead, it's easy to feel bleak. However, nursery foods, snuggly fabrics, warm socks and all too soon twinkling fairy lights will help us through the dark and cold months.
As a matter of fact I believe in fairylights all year round! They look so pretty draped round a fireplace and are especially beautiful when placed near a mirror as any light is.
